Claire Newman’s Threat

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of May 5-9 imply that Claire will have to deal with multiple threats to her happiness.

Of course, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will continue with his plan to break up with her and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) next week, especially in light of their recent announcement of moving in together.

In fact, it looks like The Moustache will instruct Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to hurry up on making good on her end of their deal, so fans should expect the brunette to make some bold moves during the week of May 5.

In addition, Claire’s dad, Cole, will get a scary diagnosis. His coughing and subsequent fever during the Wednesday, April 30 episode caused an alarm for Claire and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). He’s going to get checked by a doctor, but what will the prognosis be, and could he have a fatal illness?

Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is also waiting in the wings, pining over her ex, so there’s a chance she might try to lean on Kyle next week, as she deals with a crisis at Marchetti: losing her two top executives, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Adam Newman’s Challenge

Speaking of Chelsea, she’ll accept Adam’s job at Newman Media and join him at work during the week of May 5-9. Still, this could create quite a challenge for Adam, as fans know he was placed as the head of Newman Media to do Victor’s bidding. Could the new couple clash if an assignment to throw Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) under the bus crosses Chelsea’s desk?

Secrets (Of Every Variety)

Across town, The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will start to get some presents and interesting messages from a secret admirer, so who could be behind this? Fans can’t help but feel as if this has ‘Aristotle Dumas’ written all over it, so only time will tell.

In other news, it sounds like Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will continue to hide a secret of her own. Viewers could sense that Mariah was holding something from Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) this week, after returning from her business trip. What could this be about, and will it create a wedge between Teriah?

Regardless, Tessa will continue to bond with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) as she teaches him the guitar. Still, as he leans on his ‘friend’ during this dark time, will some sparks fly between the two?

Michael Baldwin’s Risky Move

Lastly, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will make more risky moves as it relates to Victor. The Moustache would raise an eyebrow at Michael’s meeting with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) this week, even if he didn’t fully betray his boss.

Still, how far will the lawyer go in this mission? Will he find himself without a job when all is said and done? He’s crossing lines he may not be able to get back from, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.
