General Hospital Spoilers: Did Portia’s Courtroom Confession Just Take The Heat Off Jordan And Curtis?

General Hospital spoilers report Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) just aired all her dirty laundry in the public square of Port Charles during Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial.

Now everyone knows Portia sought comfort in Dr. Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) arms — including Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who has been raising hell about her parents’ separation in hopes of mending the rift.

Realizing her mother has been lying yet again, and that the baby she is carrying could be Isaiah’s child, Trina might be willing to look a little more softly at Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) now that she is so furious with her mom. But will it change the way she feels about her dad moving on — with the past?

What Does This Mean?

While it was obvious that Trina didn’t want her dad to move on because she hoped her parents would come to their perceived senses and get back together, I am also curious if Trina may have been acting the way she was about Curtis getting involved with someone else precisely because of who that someone else is: Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

If Curtis feels the need to explore his relationship with his ex-wife, does that imply he never really got over her? If that is the case, did his marriage to Portia mean anything?

GH Spoilers Leak Trina Might Thaw

Trina’s reaction to Jordan showing up at the Ashford home for Christmas dinner might signal that she’s ready to let go of her mom’s stranglehold on her parents’ marriage.

After all, if they’re willing to move on, why shouldn’t Trina? That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, but Trina might judge Curtis’ kiss with Jordan in a less harsh light now that she knows what her mom has been up to. Could we see Trina embrace Jordan once again — even if it’s partly just to stick it to her mom?

Where Does This Leave Portia?

Of course, Curtis and Jordan exploring a future together wouldn’t change his family at all. But Portia will forever be entangled because they share a daughter.

However, it’s unclear whether they share the next child — and that could dictate how much Portia remains in Curtis’ orbit. Without a tether to his world, Portia’s plot lines shrink considerably.

A baby with a new doctor who’s got no family or friends of his own in town isn’t going to welcome as much story potential, but I am curious whether Portia’s character could either in the vine without regular interaction with Curtis. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
