Are Daniel & Tessa Headed for Romance? Y&R Cait Fairbanks Gives Her 2 Cents

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that Tessa Porter may be a married woman (married to a woman), but fans seem to feel as if the show is teasing a potential romance with her and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).

The character’s portrayer, Cait Fairbanks, recently gave her thoughts on this during interview with Soap Opera Digest (SOD).

Trouble In Teriah Paradise

The Young and the Restless could be setting up a romance between Daniel and Tess by smashing her romance with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) apart.

Fans of the Teriah super couple are quite concerned about the couple breaking up, as Mariah has a secret that she’s desperately trying to keep from Tessa.

Many believe Mariah may have been unfaithful during the business trip; however, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Mix that in with the fact that Tessa and Daniel have become better friends, and Ms. Porter is giving the grieving widower guitar lessons, and Teriah could be on the rocks, very soon.

On working more with Michael Graziadei, Fairbanks states that while doing her first scene with The Graz, she was like, “Wow, that was so fun. I would love to do that again.”

Then, as she kept getting more scripts and scenes with Graziadei, she was content. She notes, “I love working with him so much. He’s such a talented actor and he’s been really inspiring to work with, honestly.”

Are Tessa & Daniel Headed For A Romance?

Tessa has enjoyed a long-term relationship with a woman, but she’s dated men before, namely Mariah’s half-brother, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).

But could Daniel and Tessa become a ‘thing’? There are a lot of ‘ifs’ in that equation, considering Tessa and Mariah are married and share a child, not to mention the fact that Daniel is still grieving the loss of Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).

Fairbanks tells SOD that, “I think their connection is growing in a really fun way. And I think, especially with two people struggling, it can be so helpful to have friends who are there for each other.”

She also adds that ‘they’ (Y&R producers) don’t tell them anything about the future of scripts, so while she does see Daniel and Tessa bonding, she’s not sure if they’ll end up sharing a romance or mere friendship. Only time will tell!
