General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Chris McKenna (Jack Brennan) is absolutely enthralled with his baby boy, Spencer McKenna. He’s brought the adorable baby boy on set a few times, where all his castmates fell in love with him too.

Spencer McKenna Was Born July 26, 2024

Spencer was born July 26, 2024 so he’s almost nine months old, and Chris and his wife Lovisa McKenna both feature him on their social media frequently.

Louisa has a shot on her Instagram (text in Swedish) of the three of them on the Metro Court set in front of the bar. The adorable little guy looks like he was born for being in front of the camera, like his handsome father.

Cutest of all, is the posts Chris has made on his social media accounts called “Songs With Spence”. These posts have Chris singing songs to his baby boy, with appropriate baby giggles in response.

Chris Recently Put Out A Call For Song Requests

This week, Chris McKenna reached out to his followers on social media, seeking their recommendations for songs to sing to his son, Spencer McKenna.

The actor, who has a background in musical theater, shared his excitement and noted that he was running low on songs for his little one. In his tweet, he mentioned, “My longtime fans and friends know this, but I bet the new #GH crowd isn’t aware that tough guy Brennan has a musical theater side.

Chris Chose Peabo Bryson’s Version Of The One Life To Live

After receiving numerous requests for different songs, McKenna decided to showcase the much-anticipated Peabo Bryson rendition of the One Life to Live theme song on his social media accounts.

He expressed, “Our first request! It came in a couple of times and it’s perfect; for you old-time soap fans #OLTL @PeaboBryson2 #SongsWithSpence.” This memorable theme song was featured in the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live from 1986 to 1991.

McKenna made his acting debut on the show in 1990, portraying Joey Buchanan, the son of Victoria Lord (Erika Slezak) and Joe Riley (Lee Patterson). He held the role until 1993, when Nathan Fillion took over.

Now Chris Plays The Latest Iteration Of Jack Brennan

Since departing from One Life to Live, McKenna has appeared in various shows, including 90210, State of Affairs, The Bold and the Beautiful, Good Trouble, and Major Crimes. At GH, McKenna stepped into the position of station chief director and Head of the W.S.B. (World Security Bureau) Jack Brennan following Charles Mesure’s departure.

McKenna secured the role over fellow General Hospital actors Daniel Goddard (Professor Henry Dalton) and Daniel Cosgrove (Ezra Boyle); his initial scenes were shot alongside co-star Eden McCoy. McCoy shared with SOD, “It’s wonderful to work with someone who is so warm, comfortable, and kind while tackling so much material together.; we certainly have an exciting journey ahead of us.”
