General Hospital: Perpetually Coddled Kristina Needs To Be Held Accountable For Attempted Murder

Surely we’ve reached the point on General Hospital, where Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) is held accountable for her actions, right? After months of blaming Ava Jerome (Maura West) for absolutely everything that has gone wrong in her life, Kristina retaliated by cutting the brakes on what she thought was Ava‘s car.

It wasn’t, and instead, it was Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) who ended up lucky to be alive after suffering a horrific car crash.

General Hospital: Kristina Never Means To Leave A Trail Of Wreckage Behind Her, But She Always Does

Sure, Kristina didn’t mean to do it. She never actually means to do anything, and yet, she always manages to do some really big things. She has been protected from consequences her entire life, either by her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), or her father, Sunny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard).

When you put those two together, it’s no wonder Kristina doesn’t know accountability. Alexissees her as fragile and coddles her through life, and Sonny will just do absolutely anything for his kids. No questions asked.

When you put those two parenting styles together, you get a loose cannon like Kristina.

As it stands right now, there is proof that she cut the brake lines on Ric’s car. The parking garage video does not lie, and ironically enough, Kristina‘s fate is hanging in the hands of Ava Jerome (Maura West) of all people.

While Ric wants to take the footage straight to the police and have her arrested, Ava has other ideas. She wants to take the video straight to Alexis to cut a deal.

Alexis handles the purse strings on the Cassadine fortune, and Ava‘s divorce settlement has been a casualty of that. She will no doubt try to sell Alexis the video for the amount of her divorce settlement because Ava‘s financial stability is far more important to her than seeing Kristina in a jail cell.

And ironically enough, no price tag will be too high for Alexis if it means that her daughter is still free.

But Kristina is never gonna learn any kind of lesson until she is held accountable for something, anything, that she has done. It sure seems like attempted murder should be one of those things that lands her in a jail cell, don’t you think?
