General Hospital Spoilers: Chad Duell Shares His Dramatic Transformation

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Chad Duell, who most recently played Michael Corinthos on the show, recently shared his dramatic physical and mental transformation.

He’s taken time away from the show to rest, relax and take care of some personal things in his life, and his fans have been encouraging him.

A Tough Year For Port Charles’ Michael

Michael’s journey on the ABC soap  has been anything but easy; initially, he discovered that his wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), had an affair with his uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Heartbroken, Michael sought comfort in the arms of his former girlfriend, Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), which led to her becoming pregnant. To make matters worse, an explosive device detonated in his father’s penthouse, leaving Michael with severe burns over much of his body.

This traumatic event sent him to a clinic in Germany for cutting-edge burn treatments. As fans eagerly anticipate Michael’s return, transformed by his experiences, Chad Duell has also shared his own remarkable real-life changes that have impressed viewers.

Perseverance Pays Off

Duell posted a shirtless photo of himself on Instagram, looking off into the distance, accompanied by the caption: “I’ve been on quite a journey lately… both mentally and physically.

Since December, I’ve lost almost 20 pounds, but the most significant changes have been in my mindset-I’ve been letting go of old beliefs, self-doubt, and my comfort zones.

It’s interesting how as you evolve mentally, your body seems to want to keep up with that energy;”he humorously added, “Or maybe it’s the other way around? Regardless, they’re definitely in a relationship… and it seems to be getting serious.” He expressed pride in the path he has taken and concluded with, “Growth isn’t always loud, but it becomes evident if you remain consistent.”

Encouragement From Fans

One supporter expressed, “I’m happy to see you prioritizing your well-being-we miss you on GH, so take all the time you need, but we look forward to your return when you’re ready!” Another fan emphasized the importance of healing for both Duell and Michael, stating, “I’m so proud of you-you are cherished by your family, friends, and fans! Be an amazing dad and come back to GH when you feel ready and fully healed.” While many fans rallied behind him, hoping for a swift return to the soap, Robert Palmer Watkins, who previously portrayed Dillon Quartermaine on GH, added his encouragement with, “Atta boy!” Additionally, another fan acknowledged the significance of Duell’s journey, commenting, “Mental and physical health are interconnected. Great job recognizing your needs!”
