Amber Portwood Cries About Daughter Leah’s Rejection

The relationship between Leah and her mom, Amber Portwood from Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, is strained. Recently, when Amber heard her daughter Leah rejecting a 16th birthday gift from her, she took to social media and cried out her heart in a pity party.

Rejected By Her Daughter

Leah had a sad life in many ways. Recall, her mom ended up in prison, and she claimed that it would help her drug addiction. Anyway, after missing her daughter by Gary Shirley, MTV fans heard that arrangements would be made for the kid to see her mom. 

Admittedly, Amber did try and do better after her release. However, despite a home with a room for Leah to use, things became very distant. Leah feels that distance from her mother, and she finds it hard to communicate with her. Meanwhile, Amber claimed that she never traumatized her child, who now attends therapy. 

The Tears And Reactions 

The latest news is that Leah told her her stepmom, Kristina, that she didn’t want the gift and card Amber Portwood sent for her birthday. Additionally, she didn’t want her at the celebration. So, the MTV alum cried and vented on TikTok.

While Amber cried and wailed, it looked heartbreaking, but remember, she tended to downplay Leah’s issues over the years, and she denied she ever caused her trauma. In the video, she said between sobs:

It’s the only thing in my life, guys, that hurts me. I just want to see my daughter. It’s so hard…I promise. My hand on the Bible…I did exactly what she wanted.

The MTV star also claimed that she visited her daughter without the cameras present, and she got lots of photos, videos of them together. 

Speaking directly to Leah, Amber Portwood went on about how her daughter is the love of her life. It’s a lot to lay on a 16-year-old. Some of the things she said included, “I’ve changed so much and you haven’t been able to see it,” and “You were my first love, the first time I’ve felt love.”

Laying it on thick, she added, “But the things that I just saw [on Teen Mom] killed me. Killed me in my soul.”

MTV Fans React

In the comments section, one follower who thought it was fake crying wrote, “Amber is a narcissist. It’s always about her. Not one tear shed. She always chooses men over her daughter. Leah is old enough to notice. Own up to your s**t. You did this, no one else.”

Another irritated fan opined, “I’m sorry, but Amber did this to herself. You can’t walk in and out of her life.”
