The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Should Theo Vanderway Return To Shake Up Genoa City?

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease fans are hoping some excitement will come to Genoa City with the as yet unnamed character to be played by Billy Flynn.

But here’s a sure bet for an exciting character to bring some chaos, a returning character named Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson)!

Who Is Theo Vanderway, The Perfect Guy To Bring Some Chaos?

Theo was a troublemaker who was once close friends with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) during their adventurous college years in New York City. This was  a time when Kyle was involved with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).

This relationship resulted in the birth of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), and Theo revealed this secret when he arrived in Genoa City, much to Kyle’s dismay.

As Dina Abbott (Marla Adams) faced the final stages of her Alzheimer’s, which ultimately led to her passing, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) created a family history book.

Their findings uncovered that Dina had a son in college with Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert), whom she gave up for adoption; Eric Vanderway (Jon Bridell) Theo’s father.

Holden Novak Provides Some Fresh Energy, But He Isn’t Theo!

Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is the rebellious figure in Los Angeles who refuses to leave Genoa City.

He is eager for one last encounter with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), but there’s a catch: she is already in a relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and is hesitant to jeopardize it.

So, what options does Holden have; he has potential but what kind of storyline is that? Theo is the kind of bad boy that Genoa City needs; he ‘d bring a fresh vibe to the show-unlike many, Theo doesn’t take himself too seriously.

While he has a mischievous side, he isn’t entirely bad, and It would also be great to see him reconnect with the Abbott family.

Theo Is Definitely Leading Man Material

Let’s tackle the obvious: Theo is undeniably attractive; he could effortlessly attract the attention of numerous women in Genoa City. Theo would make an ideal romantic interest for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) or Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) if a cougar storyline was wanted.

Additionally, he could create some tension in Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) relationship with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).

His dynamic with Audra would also be electric, as both are stunningly beautiful, and we can only imagine the intense chemistry they would share.

Plus, there would be the déjà vu from the previous storyline of both men being with the same woman-Kyle’s ex Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) cheated on Kyle with Theo!

Theo Would Again Be A Major Thorn In Kyle’s Side

Theo was a constant annoyance for Kyle-it would be interesting to see another man his age stir things up again. We still hope that Holden will be the one to do it; Kyle’s reaction to Holden and Claire’s interaction at the bar was priceless.

However, Theo has an edge over Holden because of their shared past-he understands Kyle’s wild side, which could jeopardize Kyle’s relationship.

Claire might discover that Kyle isn’t the perfect guy she believed him to be-sadly, Theo was an overlooked character; he was introduced as a long-lost Abbott relative but was quickly forgotten.

It’s likely he would want to reconnect with his family.; now, with his business experience, Theo could bring exciting new elements to the show-this is a character worth bringing back.
