He hasn’t overcome his grudge against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). So, convincing his brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), to make a heavy financial investment in this new startup may result in what Victor predicted.

Victor believes that Jack is a fool to back Billy-boy. That derisive nickname the Moustache calls Thompson’s character directly attacks a perception of immaturity and recklessness.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) doesn’t like her husband involving himself in their rediscovered granddaughter’s romantic life. But Victor believes that any ties to the Abbott family are doomed.

In particular, Victor believes that Billy repeatedly causes great harm to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). That’s a super slanted and subjective opinion about a relationship that involved deep love and children.

Billy Abbott Feels Justified In Abbott Communication Efforts

Billy was straightforward with Jack about the type of company he wanted to create. He was also honest in telling the family member whose money is fueling his new business that past success in this field is why he wants to pursue a media-based endeavor again.

But Billy specifically told Jack that he wasn’t trying to rival Newman Media and had gotten past his vengeful feelings for Victor. That isn’t true, as the secret call he made while in Paris, France, proved.

Whoever Billy’s contact is matters. It appears that he is using that source as part of an aim to reclaim Chancellor, which Billy feels Victor unfairly stole from him by playing off Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) poor health.

Jack Abbott Won’t Be Pleased

Jack is putting himself out there. It’s not the money as much as trust.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) created a distraction for her husband. So, the Abbott mansion revision will keep Jack’s mind occupied while Billy is working in the dark of daytime. That allows him space to stay under Jack’s radar for a short period.

He believes Billy and thinks that the direct look into each other’s eyes is the culmination of the work done in recent months. But Jack wants to believe Billy has gotten out of the rut, and that’s wishful thinking.

Victor’s prediction that the Abbott family will face serious trouble and that Billy will be at its heart may come true. However, Billy’s unpredictable nature, his talent, and Victor’s potentially underestimating him make this storyline worth watching.
