The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates reveal that fans of the CBS soap will soon see Abby back onscreen. Abby has been absent from the show since Melissa’s contract ended; it’s been three  months since fans last saw her, leading to growing concerns about whether she would make a comeback.

Fans Will Soon See Abby Again Onscreen

Fans of the beloved character Abby can rejoice, as the actress will soon return to the screen. Since 2013, Ordway has portrayed Abby, the daughter of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson); after an impressive 11-year run, a shift in her contract status occurred.

In November 2024, Ordway revealed that she had transitioned from a full-time contract to a recurring role, following when Abby tied the knot with Devon Winters (Bryton James) in a landmark episode.

Although Ordway made several appearances in December after the wedding, she has been missing from the show since then. Fortunately, there’s exciting news on the horizon for fans of Abby.

Ordway Took To Instagram To Let Fans Know She’s Back Filming The Show

Ordway took to Instagram to announce her return to the set of the CBS soap opera. She shared a series of captivating photos featuring the Newman Ranch and Society, showcasing her excitement.

In one snapshot, she posed alongside co-stars Braeden and Christian LeBlanc, and later captured a moment with her other on-screen family members, James and Christel Khalil. “Abby’s back in #GenoaCity for a couple episodes with her Newman and Winters families,” she wrote in the post, bringing fans along for her journey.

Fans Immediately Rejoiced, Posting Their Excitement In The Comments Section

The comment section erupted with fervent enthusiasm as fans reacted to the thrilling news.; “Absolutely thrilled to see you back on Y&R where you truly belong! We’ve missed you on the show,” one fan expressed; “it’s high time Abby gets some meaningful storyline,” another viewer insisted.

When Abby makes her return to Genoa City, expect some intense drama involving the Newman and Winters families.

Her father, Victor, is launching a background check on Nate Hastings’ brother, Damian Lewis (portrayed by Jermaine Rivers). However, Victor’s inquiry could complicate Damian’s reunion with his mother, Amy Lewis (played by Valarie Pettiford), and stir up discord for the Winters family.

Melissa Kept Busy In The Meantime-Filming A Guest Appearance

Ordway is set to make a guest appearance on Blue Ridge: The Series, which is broadcast on the digital cable network INSP and filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the episode she’s recently worked  on, she will portray a character named Janet.

The actress has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos featuring her and other cast members, including A Martinez, a well-known figure in the daytime television realm. Martinez, who played  Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara, also appeared in  GH as Roy DiLucca, OLTL  as Ray Montez, and DOOL as Eduardo Hernandez.
