General Hospital Alum John Stamos Pays Tribute to Former Soap Co-Star, Demi Moore

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate it’s been a hot minute since either John Stamos (Blackie Parrish) or Demi Moore (Jackie Templeton) have been in the land of Port Charles; however, the memories they made on the soap have lasted a lifetime.

The two recently shared a nice reunion at AARP’s Movies for Grownups Awards stage, where Stamos presented his former sudsy co-star an award.

Stamos’ Tribute to Moore

Stamos presented Moore with an award for Best Actress at AARP’s Movies for Grownups event. He later hopped on Instagram to further pay tribute to the legendary Hollywood star.

Stamos uploaded a video filled with photos from the AARP ceremony’s red carpet and event, as well as some old-school photos of him and Moore from their days in the land of Port Charles.

Stamos’ IG caption read, “I was beyond thrilled to present Best Actress at AARP’s Movies for Grownups to my friend, Demi Moore.”

He went on to say, “Demi and I go back over 40 years, to when we played Blackie and Jackie on General Hospital. We had big hair, big dreams, and enough hairspray between us to single-handedly destroy the ozone layer.”

Moore & Stamos’ History in Port Charles

Both Moore and Stamos were on GH in the 1980s. In fact, the actor got his big break in show biz when he scored the Blackie Parrish role in 1982, which earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor.

Alas, he went on to bigger and brighter things when he left the show in 1984. A mere three years later, he found massive success playing “Uncle Jesse” in the hit sitcom, Full House. The rest is history!

Meanwhile, Demi played the role of Jackie Templeton from 1981 to 1983 and would move on to star in iconic films like Indecent Proposal, Ghost, and St. Elmo’s Fire – just to name a few.

The actress was presented with the AARP award for her role in The Substance, a flick that has already earned her an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe award.
