General Hospital Star Josh Kelly Dives into New Primetime Role, Leaving GH?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Cody Bell continues to stir on the pot in the land of Port Charles, as he sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong – in Sasha Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) baby daddy business!

Still, while the GH character is acting way out of line, the actor who plays Cody will dive into a new primetime role this week. That’s because Josh Kelly is set to make an appearance on CBS’ NCIS: Origins during the show’s Monday, February 10 episode. More on this story, below.

NCIS: Origin’s ‘Monsoon’ Episode

During Monday’s show titled, “Monsoon”, the team gets some help from Kelly’s character as they investigate a murder of a Vietnam vet who fell on hard times after serving in the war.

This case also triggers some reflection for Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid), on his post-war struggles. In addition, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) mulls over going on a new path.

Josh Kelly Brings in Personal Experiences

Interestingly enough, Kelly has his own experiences with the military as a vet who served as an Army Ranger for a tour in Iraq and three tours in Afghanistan. In fact, Kelly parachuted into Iraq during that mission!

During his appearance on GH co-star’s State of Mind podcast, Kelly tells Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), “You can’t experience those things without being affected.

You learn to deal with it. The way that I’ve dealt with everything, mostly, is humor.” Kelly goes on to say that acting has helped, noting that he’s grateful he was able to get into acting as soon as he finished his military run. The actor states, “It’s a good excuse to feel.”

Kelly’s NCIS: Origins episode airs on CBS, Monday, February 10 at 10:00 pm ET, and can also be streamed on Paramount+ after the fact.
