Being gun shy about reconciling with Ridge is natural based on his many Brooke backflips, backtracks, and outright bends to her will. So, Taylor didn’t allow herself to believe she and Ridge would ever be together during what was anticipated as a short lifespan.

But everything changed when Ridge took a direct interest in her recovery. Then, there was the healer event at the cliff house, which Brooke conveniently saw from the side door. All of it meant that Ridge slide-stepped back to his other love.

Ridge is a strange dude. He loves Brooke and Taylor like Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) loved Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) for years. Of course, Ridge frowned on Liam’s behavior without often acknowledging it mimicked his own.

In effect, Ridge wants Taylor available to him when he wants her and expects the same from Brooke. Their desires are based on his whims, and that’s wrong.

Taylor’s recovery status means that she’s in a vulnerable spot. Here’s hoping his choice to be with her lasts at least a few years rather than months and another Brooke rebound.
