Adam Busby Gets Mixed Responses To Hunting

OutDaughtered star Adam Busby took the kids to a ranch where they learned to handle guns. He also shared a photo of a deer that he shot. Understandably, TLC fans had some mixed responses to his social media post. 

Adam Busby Likes Hunting & Guns

It’s been a while since the OutDaughtered dad of the quints and Blayke shared photos of himself shooting. So, it was news to some folks that he likes hunting. Well, he recently started the Carnivore Diet, so he is certainly not a vegetarian. 

Adam Busby seemed pleased that his girls enjoyed their time in nature on a recent vacation. Their cousins went along, and Danielle shared a picture of them all looking at some cows on a ranch.  Some photos also arrive of the quints cuddling a lamb. But their dad also went hunting.

Loads of photos arrived on Adam’s Instagram on January 7. Several of them showed the quints learning to shoot rifles. Others showed the kids just enjoying being out in nature. But, it was one of two quints next to their dad with a dead deer that set off complaints from OutDaughtered fans.

In his caption, Adam Busby told his TLC followers:

First Photo Dump from our Family trip to the Ranch! Such a fun week to disconnect and be out in nature. The kids love being outdoors, exploring and shooting guns. Came home with some meat for the Freezer, so that’s always a plus!

TLC Fans Have Mixed Opinions

Adam Busby found some people who approved of him shooting for the freezer. And, others liked the kids learning about handling firearms. Here are some of their comments:

• Nice buck!! Congrats!! My husband got one in the Fall here in Canada.
• LOVE that you’re teaching them gun safety and respect young! We have taken our boys to shoot since they were 3…
• Love the family time. I think being educated about and learning gun safety is a good thing at any age.

Conversely, some TLC fans expressed outrage. Here are their thoughts:

• I understand hunting, but what I’ll never understand is “showing off” the kill. It just seems so disrespectful to the animal to me.
• I’m in the U.K. so I hate seeing these hunting photos. Il’ll stop following as it doesn’t fit with my beliefs.
• Shooting and killing God’s beautiful creatures.
• I don’t understand why you would want to kill an innocent animal when your not living off grid…in my brain you have just killed a member of that deer’s family who have emotions and feelings, how you you like it if that was one of your girls?
