Diane and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) ‘s sit-down at the Abbott mansion was good. They talked through all that happened and reached an accord.

Kyle’s subsequent admission of guilt and his mother’s hug were feel-good moments. His agreement to return to Jabot as the company’s co-CEO was proper and just.

As Diane and Jack have been saying, they did everything to pull Kyle from Victor’s clutches and were successful. Kyle is also right in expressing his shock at the reckless lengths they went to. However, all goals were accomplished.

The writing staff is establishing yet another good Abbott versus Newman battle. Whether Jack has obtained good assets as part of his plan to arm Jabot remains to be seen.

However, both sides will operate off good old soap in the escalating family battle. Personal grievances and longstanding grudges will be mined as these prominent GC families vault into the holidays with thoughts of ill humor in their hearts and minds.

No matter the developments, viewers can also expect some warm family moments spent around their respective trees. However, no gifts will be exchanged between the groups except for those between Kyle and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
