The Bold and The Beautiful Spoilers: Crew Morrow Spills the Tea on His Family Affair Life Onscreen and Offscreen

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that soap operas are frequently a family affair, not just onscreen, but off. The late Bill Bell created B&B and his son Bradley Bell is the show’s executive producer.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s sister show, The Young and the Restless, is also a Bell creation and Bell’s daughter Lauralee Bell plays Christine Williams.

In the latest twist, Crew Morrow has debuted on the CBS soap as Will Spencer, and it just so happens that his father Joshua Morrow has played Nick Newman on Y&R for 20 years.

Crew’s TV parents are Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom). Since coming to town Will has made an immediate connection to Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace).

Crew Morrow hit the ground running which is not surprising given his daytime heritage. Crew has been familiar with the soap world all of his life and he talked about how he is finding his lane as Will, a role that has been recast numerous times.

B&B spoilers: Will Will Risk Everything?

Crew auditioned for ABC’s General Hospital and Peacock’s Days of Our Lives prior to landing on B&B. He told Digital Journal that after he booked his first film, he dropped out of school.

He is not a nepo baby, saying that he got the job without any help from his dad. After he made his decision to pursue acting he “called up my mom, and I told her that I would drop out… and that was a big step for me because I was going into a risky business, but it has played out well, and I haven’t looked back since.”

He has landed a solid role on B&B playing a legacy character and he says of the actors that play his onscreen parents, Don Diamont and Heather Tom: “They’re both great. They are such veterans and such pros, so it is always nice having scenes with those vets.”

Morrow also praised Will’s girlfriend Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace). He stated that she is “such a sweetheart, and I am so glad she is on the show” saying that he is “Excited for future scenes with her.”

Soaps are notorious for large amounts of dialogue and Crew has a technique to remember his lines: repetition. He notes that he uses his dad’s methods when he goes to auditions, saying that it involves swinging “big.”

He describes this technique as doing something that makes him stand out in the casting director and/or producer’s mind. Actors routinely audition against hundreds of other actors for a part, making it difficult to be memorable.

But as his dad told Crew, “Make it memorable, do something big, and slay the dragon.” That’s excellent advice, and clearly it worked as Crew is now starring on one of just four remaining daytime dramas.
