‘7 Little Johnstons’ Leighton Bolden Goes Under The Knife

Leighton Bolden from 7 Little Johnstons is just one year old, and this week, the cute daughter of Liz Johnston went under the knife. Why was the littlest TLC star in the family in a hospital? Read on to find out more.

Leighton Bolden Under The Knife After Birthday Party

Liz Johnston threw her baby girl a party on her first birthday. Not everyone in the 7 Little Johnstons family made it to the festivities. However, the sweet child probably wasn’t aware that she would soon go to a hospital for surgery. It wasn’t as drastic as Maddie Brown Brush’s daughter, Evie-K who had a Boyd Amputation, but any surgery is worrying for a parent. 

It’s been a year of baby photos on the social media pages of 7 Little Johnstons family members. Even Anna Johnston, who seems to be estranged from the rest of them, posted a few pictures of Leighton Bolden. But the latest Leighton Bolden pictures arrived when the cute kid went under the knife. 

Why A Surgery For Liz Johnston’s Baby?

On Thursday, the official account on Instagram for the 7 Little Johnstons family shared some pictures of the one-year-old. Black and white photos added to the drama about the news. The first caption said, “Big day for our Leighty-Bug….1st surgery.”

Later. Liz Johnston told her TLC followers on Instagram stories that the surgery for Leighton Bolden was successful. She wrote, “Tubes in ears for our Leighty-Bug were a success!!! Of course, if you watched The Bachelor on ABC, you would know that tubes in the ears are done for various reasons. It was Daisy Kent in Season 28 who brought awareness about cochlear implants. 

The TLC Baby Seems To Be Fine

The photos of baby Leighton Bolden revealed that the child of Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden seemed fine. While Liz didn’t say why her child needed tubes, there is plenty of information online.  They are also known as tympanostomy tubes.

According to The Mayo Clinic:

Ear tubes might help children who have repeated, long-lasting ear infections, also known as chronic otitis media. Ear tubes also might help children who still have fluid buildup in the ear after an infection clears up. This is called otitis media with effusion. Most ear tubes are made to fall out in 4 to 18 months

As the comments section is limited for any photos of Leighton Bolden, TLC fans were unable to share their experiences with ear tubes. Still. a lot of[people able to like the photos.
