Ridge doesn’t believe he’s becoming involved with Taylor. Instead, he’s simply helping an important person in his life who is facing a health crisis that is directly related to him.

Liam sees Hope in a renewed light. He just told her that a family reunion is his goal. She is surprised but has an unexpected alternative.

Taylor honestly returned to Los Angeles, California, with no romantic agenda. She intended to close out her life in what was believed to be the very near future.

However, her heart failure diagnosis was proven to be misguided. The conclusive tests that Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) conducted provided a different data point.

Taylor’s broken heart syndrome means that her condition isn’t fatal but must be addressed. So, it was heartening (pardon the pun) to hear Taylor reference what her condition is while meeting with the healer and Ridge at the cliff house.

Current developments provide a new angle for Taylor to approach Ridge, though neither half of the former Tridge sees that yet.

Ridge compelled Taylor to see a specialist after she collapsed at Forrester Creations. She did, and Grace’s presence in the storyline should result in a pathway to healing.

But Taylor’s refusal to tell Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) about her health status confounded Ridge, so he took a different approach.

Taylor initially rejected Grace’s diagnosis and insists that Ridge not tell their children or Brooke what’s happening. That’s why reaching out to the healer will soften Taylor’s defenses and hopefully get her to open up.

How many times has a character seen or overheard something that was not intended?

Devoted soap fans know that Brooke was happening by the cliff house when Ridge and Taylor sat on the floor; it was total soap. Having her see Taylor put Ridge’s hand on her heart put the soapy cherry on top.

Coming scenes show Brooke naturally questioning what’s happening and Eric Forrester (John McCook) becoming involved. Brooke’s eavesdropping will likely widen the circle of people who know about Taylor’s broken heart syndrome.

But that plot development probably will continue the potential for Ridge to reunite with Taylor. That would be too simple, and daytime fans prefer drama.
