‘Teen Mom’ Kailyn Lowry Wins Respect For Good Parenting

Teen Mom fans met Kailyn Lowry on 16 and Pregnant and she later appeared on the MTV franchise. Since then, she welcomed a lot more kids and took some heat for it. However,  a recent appearance on a podcast won her a lot of praise for being a great momma. 

Kailyn Lowry Raises Seven Kids

Recently, the MTV star took some heat because she welcomed baby Rio, and shortly after that, her twins arrived. That means that she went from four kids to seven kids in a very short time. Rumors about marriage arrived, but some Teen Mom fans think it won’t last with Elijah Scott. After all, she already experienced relationships with four baby daddies: Jo Rivera, Javi Marroquin, Chris Lopez, and Elijah.

Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez get criticism for always dissing each other on social media. He’s the dad of Lux and Creed. So, she often gets slammed for that. Plus, fans fear that her older kids, Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, and Creed will end up raising Rio, and the twins, Verse and Valley. However, the Teen Mom star still won a lot of approval for her parenting skills recently. 

Teen Mom Alum Wins Respect For Good Parenting

Kail sat down on the Unplanned Podcast recently and discussed her chaotic life, focusing on getting her tubes tied and parenting issues. Several things that the MTV alum said won approval from fans. Her take on educating the boys at home about consent struck a big chord with listeners. Plus, they liked it when she talked about how parents rather than public schools failed in the area of teaching about “parenting.”

Kailyn Lowry told her Teen Mom fans, in part:

I don’t really ask the older kids for help at all because I want them to all have their childhood…[I’m] so open with my kids and I always want them to think they can come to me…about anything and so I talk to my 14-year-old about [sex] all the time… he comes home from school and he’ll tell me stuff that like his friends say or what they’re doing and things like that and I gently like kind of talk to him about it without him really realizing that I’m like kind of lecturing him…

MTV Fans React

In the comments section of the podcast, Teen Mom fans admitted that initially, they were wrong in their judgment about Kail. Here are some of their reactions:

• I genuinely think people don’t like her because of how REAL she is. She isn’t this cookie cutter parent/influencer and we need more of that!
• I have mad respect for Kailyn. She is always reaching for bigger and better things all while raising 7 kids.
• When Matt asked Kail if she felt like the public school system failed her in sex education- Kail said “I feel like parenting was failed”. I respect this so much! It is 100% up to the parents to educate their children.
• I never disliked her on the show, but the more I see of her, the more I respect her. She’s really inspiring for young women. Great interview!
• I wasn’t a fan of Kailyn during the earlier Teen Mom years, but WOW, what a well-spoken and likable woman she was during this interview!
