Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) had quite the confrontation with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) during the Thursday, July 18 episode of the show.

She’s not pleased he’s been appointed Newman Media CEO, and while Adam held his cards close to his chest, he knows exactly why Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has given him the reigns to the Newman Enterprises’ division.

Y&R Spoilers: There’s Bad Blood Between Nikki & Adam Newman

Y&R spoilers suggest that while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has softened up to his brother, and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has shown Adam grace during his issues with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), Nikki hasn’t really budged when it comes to her distrust of her stepson.

Adam is trying to change, despite his recent slip-up and one-nighter with his ex, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), which is subsequently causing him to lie to his new girlfriend Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Still, when it comes to the Newman family, Adam has tried to make amends. One such example was how he risked his freedom while running from the law to donate his kidney to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).

The girl could’ve died had he not returned to Genoa City, and Adam truly “saved the day” for his niece, as he was her only match.

Despite this, and other efforts, he’s always gotten the snub from Nikki.

Y&R Spoilers: Killing Two Birds With One Stone

Adam is desperate to help Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and doesn’t want to throw him under the bus. He’s made this clear to the Moustache; however, Victor knows he has a way of getting his son to do what he wants.

Could he out Victor’s plan to Nikki? This would not only “save” Jack from any plan Victor has, but also signal an olive branch being extended to his stepmother.

The only issue with doing this is the chaos the truth would create between Victor and Nikki. The super couple have had issues with their romance in the past but have been living (somewhat) harmoniously in recent years.

Victor rehashing his feud with Jack would place this in jeopardy, so is Adam willing to do something this bold?
