General Hospital Spoilers: Congressman McConkey Advises Drew To Make A Shocking Proposal!

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Matheson) has officially announced his plan to run for Congress. Congressman Larry McConkey (Sam McMurray) is retiring and he has handpicked Drew to run as his replacement.

McConkey has already convinced Drew to embrace his family ties by changing his last name from Cain to Quartermaine, which Drew has done just in time for the election. But that may not be McConkey’s only suggestion.

McConkey certainly believes that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is good for Drew’s campaign. The whole reason McConkey even met Drew is because Nina introduced them.

And the truth is, Drew has a tough opponent in Chelsea Grimes. McConkey will likely suggest that Drew will have a much better chance at beating her if he gets married, and he will likely have someone in mind. And that person is Nina. Drew will have a lot to think about given his complicated relationship with Nina.

GH Spoilers – Drew Quartermaine and Nina Reeves hated each other just weeks ago!

Up until recently, Drew hated Nina and with good reason. Nina was the person who anonymously notified the SEC that Drew and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) engaged in insider trading.

Drew actually went to prison because of this and while there, he was beaten within an inch of his life. Once Drew was released and discovered what Nina did, he fired her from Crimson Magazine although he promptly rehired her.

But they argued constantly and during a particularly intense confrontation, they ended up making love in Drew’s office.

General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Quartermaine is also attracted to Willow Tait

Drew and Nina have made love several times since and although they said they were keeping it casual, there do seem to be some feelings there at least on Nina’s part.

To make matters even more complicated, Drew recently shared an illicit kiss with Nina’s very married daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). So if Drew does indeed propose to Nina, things could get quite messy and the scandal could cost Drew the election!
