General Hospital Spoilers: How Long Will Jason Delay Getting His Life Back to Help Anna and Her Broken Heart?
General Hospital spoilers report Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was relieved the moment he saw Police Commissioner Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) face wash over white like a ghost.
She recognized the voice on the other end of the line and had just confirmed that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was the head of Pikeman.
But Anna was quick to stop Jason in his tracks, noting he couldn’t possibly blow his cover so quickly in case Valentin was able to escape persecution.
If the FBI wasn’t able to capture him and prove he was the head of the organization, then Jason would still be tied to being an informant, indefinitely.
He didn’t want to buy Anna’s claim of concern — knowing she was partly still looking out for her former lover — but he conceded and agreed to help her set Valentin up. Just how long will this drag out though as Jason waits to reclaim his life?
General Hospital Spoilers — Anna Pulls Herself Together
Anna had tears in her eyes the moment she heard Valentin’s voice on the phone. It was the last thing she expected. Although she suspected Valentin was helping Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) somehow, she never thought he had taken over the role as the Kingpin of Pikeman.
Putting the pieces together, she quickly realized Valentin’s role was never so small and insignificant as being a liaison between Pikeman and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He was setting Sonny up all along, and he tried to have Jason killed.
Will her conscience win out as she brings him to justice, or will her heart push her to bend the rules to protect Valentin even if it leaves Jason flapping in the wind?
GH Spoilers Squeal Valentin Turns the Tables
We don’t know how yet, but rumor has it Valentin is onto Anna just as much as she is onto him. While he does want to stoke the flames that still burn between them, he also can’t let his years-long operation with Pikeman slip through the cracks.
He also knows that the closer Anna gets to the truth, the less he will be able to protect her. Steering her away from his secret has not only been a goal to keep his operation going but to keep her safe.
Now, as she zeroes in on him as the head of Pikeman, will he make a play for her emotions to keep her on his side? If so, will Jason lose out in the end as Anna turns on him to protect Valentin?
General Hospital Spoilers — Forever a Martyr
Jason is going out on a limb to help Anna. He doesn’t want her to enter Valentin’s world — or his home — without back-up on the line. Anything could happen, and he’s committed to making sure Anna isn’t harmed on his watch.
It’s unfortunate we can’t actually say the same with confidence about her concern for Jason. He just came under fire and her initial instinct when learning it was Valentin who ordered the hit was to protect the Cassadine casanova over Jason.
If Anna betrays Jason, it could keep him in the FBI’s web of control for years to come as he tries to chase down the truth — and away from living any version of his own. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
