Braeden recently commented on an old clip posted by a fan on X. The scene is from 2011 and shows matriarch Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) interrupting Victor and upstart Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) date. Yes you read that correctly, Sharon and Victor were an item once.

Braeden let his thoughts on this preposterous story be known writing: “One of the most badly executed storylines, EVER!!” Tons of Y&R viewers agreed. It’s hard to swallow the fact that Victor would be in involved with his son Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) ex.

When this plot was executed, fans were not pleased with the direction the show took these two mismatched characters. It was truly an odd pairing and fans were quick to agree with Braden’s assessment.

Nikki thinks that Jordan is dead but fans know that Victor is up to his typical gamesmanship and has the woman locked up in his wine cellar. This can’t end well and it’s most likely Nikki who will suffer the consequences of Victor’s deceitful actions.
