The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Beloved Soap Star James Hyde Grapples with Grief-Inside His Recent Loss
The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease beloved soap star James Hyde is grappling with grief from a devastating loss. James, who Y & R viewers will remember played the villainous Jeremy Stark in 2022 and 2023, recently lost his brother Tom.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Hospice Care
Hyde took to Instagram to announce the passing of his brother Tom-in a heartfelt post, the actor shared that Tom had passed away peacefully in hospice care.
Alongside a photo of Tom holding up two fingers to symbolize peace, Hyde expressed his love and admiration for his brother, highlighting Tom’s roles as a father, grandfather, and Army Veteran. Hyde’s nephew Dustyn was by his father’s side when he passed, Hyde captioning the post with “Love you Tom, you’re now with Mom and Dad!! Rest in Peace. God Bless You.”
Many of Hyde’s former Young and Restless co-stars, along with others he appeared with on “Passions” and “Another World” expressed their condolences as well. On “Passions” James played Sam Bennett and on “Another World” Neil Johanssen; he also played Liam in “As The World Turns”.
Y & R Spoilers: Condolences
Hyde’s former colleagues from Y&R, along with other soap stars, expressed their sympathies. Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) sent her love and prayers, while Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) conveyed her apologies to James along with Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, General Hospital, All My Children).
Lindsay Hartley (ex-Sam McCall, GH; ex-Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, Passions), and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady, Days of our Lives) also extended their well wishes to Hyde during this difficult time. Hyde also appeared in a Netflix series, “Monarca” that ran from 2019-2021.
He’s appeared in many prime-time series as well over the years after entering the acting field in 1998, in a music video running a boom box.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jeremy Stark Is Missed By Fans
James Hyde is missed by fans, and his villainous character, Jeremy Stark is as well; Stark was one of the best villains in years on the soap.
Many long-time fans have expressed a desire for good mysteries and exciting danger on their soap, even though there has been a very short reappearance by Linden Ashby as Cameron Kirsten.
There is a new female villain played by Colleen Zenk who’s getting some fan attention-although it’s mixed, Jordan, Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) aunt.
But many fans thought Jeremy Stark was one of the most complex villains Y & R has written in a long time. James is keeping busy though, with some upcoming projects.
