General Hospital Spoilers: Will Dante’s Extended Recovery Mean Dex Becomes Chase’s New Partner?
General Hospital spoilers report Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may be alive and on the mend, but his recovery is going to take some time before he’s back in action.
Right now, he can barely sit forward or walk at any reasonable pace. Being shot twice in the chest with armor-piercing bullets did significant internal damage that Dante is still healing from, too.
In other words, he’ll need some serious medical care and physical therapy in the weeks — and possibly months — ahead. As happy as Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is to know Dante is going to be okay, he’s still without a partner back on the police force. But something tells us that won’t be the case for long.
General Hospital Spoilers — Now Hiring!
The PCPD hasn’t made a fuss over new recruits in quite some time. So Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) coming into the mix could certainly shake things up.
Chase may have questions at first when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) announced who she’s bringing on board, but it’s not likely he’ll get the answers he deserves or desires from her.
Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) may further poke holes in Anna’s perfect reputation that Chase has thus far protected, too.
GH Spoilers Tease Dante Feels a Certain Way
Chase knows Dante has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He’s certainly now going to push him to get back to work any sooner than he safely can.
At the same time, he won’t hesitate to run to Dante and let him know who Anna is partnering him up with in Dante’s absence.
Of course, Chase is a fantastic officer to lead any new hire and show them the ropes on how to be a good cop — but can Dex truly become a good cop?
Dante will immediately have personal concerns that Anna could be bringing Dex into the fold to use him against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — a concern that hadn’t even entered Chase’s mind.
General Hospital Spoilers — Things Change
While Dante and Chase have been thick as thieves on the police force, they’re not going to see eye to eye on this front.
Chase is nothing short of a Boy Scout, and he may not have noticed but his missing-in-action partner has developed a bit of empathy for his mobster dad in recent years.
Dante may not ask Chase to break the law to help his father, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to push him to keep an eye out against his new partner in favor of a career criminal.
If Chase doesn’t agree with this, he just might join forces with Dex — and go against Dante, his best friend and best man. Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
