Bold And Beautiful Star Confirms Chicago Fire Exit
Rome Flynn got his TV start on CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful. After playing the part of Zende Forrester for three years, the newcomer announced he was leaving B&B and was taking on a new role.
Since getting his start on the daytime drama, Rome went on to appear on The Haves And The Have Nots, How To Get Away With Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, and most recently Chicago Fire. A lot of Bold and the Beautiful viewers still follow Flynn’s career today.
Per a new report from TV Line, “Rome Flynn, who joined Chicago Fire as Gibson at the start of Season 12, has exited the NBC series after six episodes. Flynn’s final episode — at least for now — was the March 27 installment, in which Gibson began experiencing withdrawal from prescription drugs and left the firehouse to seek treatment.”
Will Gibson Return To Chicago Fire
The Bold and the Beautiful alum did take to social media and seemingly confirm his character is done on Chicago Fire, at least for now. Flynn shared some photos from the Chicago set and captioned the images “Curtain Call.”
Chicago Fire didn’t exactly kill off Derrick Gibson. And, it’s not unusual for the NBC drama to bring characters back after a season or two.
There’s also the potential for Flynn to be invited to one of the other NBC Chicago series, after Derrick Gibson is done with his rehab stint of course.
