General Hospital Spoilers suggest Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) hasn’t been seen in Port Charles since he showed up at his mother’s door and turned himself into the PCPD for holding a pregnant Esme Prince (Avery Kirsten Pohl) hostage in the north tower at Wyndemere.
Watching Nikoas give himself up to the police was a crowning moment for Laura Collins (Genie Francis). It redeemed him in her eyes, even if it didn’t absolve him of his crime.
Now, he’ll be forced to face sentencing and however many months or years of time behind bars that come with it. While Nikolas might be locked up, he’ll be spending his nights in a local prison. Will that make it any harder for Ava Jerome (Maura West) to forget about him?
General Hospital Spoilers — Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow
The last time Ava saw Nikolas, she was taken aback by his sudden appearance in town. When he manifested in her storage room at the gallery, covering her mouth to prevent her from screaming, she unleashed her pent up anger that seemed to bleed into angst and a longing ache for her long-lost ex-husband.
When she appeared at the gallery again to tell her goodbye, she was even more surprised and sorrowful to think she would never see him again. So, in some way, Ava was pleased to hear he came home and turned himself in. Maybe their story isn’t over after all.
GH Spoilers Say Nikolas Pines for Ava
Nikolas will have far less to do with his time from the confines of a jail cell. Will he be able to finesse getting a visit from his ex-wife, or does he know better than to request she stoop to such uncomfortable accommodations to give herself some face time with the man who broke her heart? Ava might have felt some lingering pangs of leftover love and lust when she saw Nikolas last, but a lot has changed since then.

The last we saw Ava and Nikolas together, it seemed like neither of them really wanted to part ways. Neither of them really wanted their time together — good or bad — to be over.
But Ava has recently found herself swept up in very different circumstances that offer the appeal of risk-taking and danger she likes to play with, while still keeping her heart safe from the kind of fractures Nikolas liked to cause.
