General Hospital Spoilers: Ava’s Intentions to Mend Nina’s Marriage to Sonny Hit the Skids

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) will struggle to keep her promise to bestie Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) that she will help her mend her broken marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Ava may have assumed the best way to keep her own budding feelings for Sonny at bay is to focus on Nina’s broken heart, but she couldn’t be more wrong.

Sonny has annexed Nina from his life, and the more Ava brings her up, the more Sonny will dismiss the conversation.

As he continues to make it crystal clear to Ava that he’s already moved on from Nina, she will have a hard time finding any reason why she shouldn’t do the same.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Means Well

Ava intended to follow through with her promise. In fact, she thought going to bat for Nina might refocus the conversation between herself and Sonny to a topic that keeps them at a distance from one another.

But it was obvious during their hospital chapel embrace that Sonny wasn’t disappointed by Ava approaching him. Will she be able to fight off her own feelings enough to consider Nina’s?

GH Spoilers Hint Sonny Grows Lonely, as Usual

It’s going to be hard to convince Sonny to give Nina another chance when he won’t even mention her name or tolerate Ava doing so.

He’s tired of that conversation, and will soon appear much more eager to continue exploring whatever sparks were arising in the chapel.

While Ava might be content to write it off as adrenaline and mixed up emotions on what was a very traumatic night, Sonny isn’t going to buy it as he makes a move and hopes Ava won’t hesitate to respond in kind.

General Hospital Spoilers — All Bets Are Off

If Ava and Sonny hook up, we can rest assured that Nina and Sonny are done. We can also assume Ava and Nina’s friendship will be toast, too.

That is —- if Nina finds out. Just because Sonny moves on with Ava and leaves Nina in the dust doesn’t mean his ex will be any more aware of how he’s spending his time.

Sonny may keep quiet about their affair for Ava’s sake, but Nina isn’t stupid. If Ava starts to encourage her to move on, she’s going to suspect there is more to the story.
