General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal among all the explosive drama surrounding Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return, some of the nicer moments have been between him and his youngest son, Danny Morgan.

The two recently reunited under extraordinary circumstances, but the emotion could be felt through daytime screens.

Actor Asher Antonyzyn recently talks about his scenes with his onscreen dad, and how Steve Burton helped coach him through some of the tough stuff.

GH spoilers note that fans were completely shocked when Danny was the first one to find a very injured Jason at the Quartermaine boathouse. Fans could feel the confusion as the youngster was completely caught off guard seeing his thought-to-be dead bio dad.

Asher tells SOD that he and Burton “connected right away”. Before shooting their first scenes together, he and Steve sat down, and his onscreen father became like an acting coach.

Antonyzyn states that Burton taught him so much and encouraged him along the way. He adds that the scene was a “ton of fun”.

GH spoilers note that while Danny is excited his dad is back in town, others aren’t so thrilled. Notably, his half-brother Jake Webber (Hudson West), who believes their dad is the one who shot Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Another person who feels conflicted is his mom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Antonyzyn tells SOD that during a recent scene, Sam refers to Jason as “this guy”, not acknowledging that he’s Danny’s dad.

She believes that Danny deserves better as a father, and these assertions “cut like a knife” for the teen. Danny just wants to see Jason and from the looks of it, it’ll be a hard no from his mom.

Sounds like there could be some drama that arises between Sam and Danny, in light of Jason’s return. Sadly, he’ll also battle Jake with their differing views, which could turn Danny’s life upside down (even more than it already is).
