Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that since he entered Genoa City storylines in November 2023, Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) number one priority has been ensuring his daughter, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) gets all the support she needs to move on with her life.

With that being said, Claire is on her way to healing. Could this free up some time for Cole to help an old friend with their mental health journey?

Y&R spoilers note that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is having a mental health breakdown. She’s battled this type of thing before, and for one reason or another, something has triggered her mental health, leaving her confused, frustrated, and not acting like herself.

Ashley has had a long history of mental health issues. It’s unclear as to why she’s dealing with it again, but with Cole in town, and their romantic past, it’s hard not to think that what Ashley is going through could lead her to reconnect with Cole, on some level.

Y&R spoilers suggest that Ashley could be committed. Her recent encounters with both Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and her family indicate erratic behaviors.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may create a united front to make sure this happens. If annulment papers haven’t been drawn up yet, they may solicit Tucker’s help in committing Ashley to a mental health institution.

It’s a sad reality, but the good news is that Ashley may get the help she needs to move past this ordeal. If she is committed, there’s a good chance that she may end up in the very same facility Claire’s in.

Cole could run into his ex while visiting his daughter, and there’s even a chance that Claire and Ashley become close if their stay overlaps with one another.

Cole still cares about Ashley and is seemingly a kind man, so he’ll likely do all he can to provide support to his ex. The two will bond, but could a romantic reunion be on the horizon, too?
