What Happened To Days of Our Lives’ Abigail DiMera?

Days of Our Lives Abigail DiMera finally had her life where she wanted it before it was abruptly cut short by a very evil man.

Abigail’s Very Good Day

Ab and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) were happily married after much strife in their relationship caused by her vengeful long-lost sister Gwen Rizcech (Emily O’Brien).

Abby had even managed to escape a remote DiMera island after being kidnapped by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). She brought Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) home with her and finally began life anew with Chad.

Abby was happily working as an investigative reporter at her parents’ newspaper The Spectator and couldn’t wait to expand her family. She and Chad decided to have another child and thought they might have conceived that day.

Chad later left to take their children, Charlotte and Thomas, to see The Minions Movie, and Abigail decided to get some work done from home.

Abigail’s Brutal Death

When Chad returned, he found Abigail lying on their bed bleeding to death. She had been brutally stabbed and asked Chad to look after the children. Chad rushed his wife to the hospital where she was declared dead. He was told that not even Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) could save her.

For months, Chad searched for Abby’s killer and there were multiple suspects, including Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Abby’s own uncle, Lucas Horrton (Bryan R. Dattilo). Finally, Chad realized Clyde Weston (James Read) was the culprit and got the whole story.

Clyde was hellbent on seeking revenge on EJ DiMera (Daniel Feurriegel) and thought he could do that by killing his lawyer Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison), who EJ was sleeping with at the time.

But, when Clyde got to the DiMera mansion to do the deed, Abigail found him. To keep her quiet, Clyde stabbed her to death and tried to make it look as if there was a robbery.

Clyde is now in jail but is not done causing trouble as he is the man behind the Salem drug ring and the fire at the Horton house. Chad once again wants to bring Clyde down, but will he be able to do it?
