Is General Hospital Headed Back In Jarly’s Direction?

General Hospital fans are anticipating the return of Jason Morgan to Port Charles. This will be his second big comeback in six years, but when Jason left the last time around, his circumstances were much different than the first time.

No More JaSam For Jason?

When Patient Six made his way back to PC in 2018 and revealed himself as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), the first place he headed was to see Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). She was the love of his life — or so we thought until 2021.

Sam and Jason did give it another try in 2019 but it didn’t work out and by 2021, they had broken up. Sam realized protecting her children was more important than being married to the mob and she was finally ready to step away from Jason.

He then became involved with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), but when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) needed a marriage of convenience to protect Sonny’s organization, Jason suddenly realized that Carly was the love of his life all this time.

‘Jarly’ even married but before the wedding night could heat up, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) walked into the bedroom and returned from the dead. Jason walked away forlorn and not long after, he was presumed dead on Cassadine Island.

Jarly Revisited

It seems that Carly really didn’t move on from Jason although Sonny had moved on from Carly. Now, she is with a cheap knock-off — Jason’s twin Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Everyone knows if Jason were around, Carly would have never given Drew the time of day and now that Jason is returning, fans are taking bets on how quickly Drew will be shown the door. It’s happened before so it’s bound to happen again.

Is Drew’s new erratic behavior and descent into darkness happening because it will give Carly a good reason to dump Drew the second Jason is back in her life?

The only reason they ever broke up was because Sonny was back, but Carson is no more and Jarly can rise again as long as Drew is out of the picture and Jason doesn’t realize he still loves Sam. If he does, what will happen to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)?
