General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Isn’t The Only One Cozying Up To An Ex

General Hospital spoilers report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) always seem to be dancing around the obvious truth that they’ll never really be over each other.

Longtime GH fans know to expect a reunion with this pair, but the fractured wounds Sonny left behind when he jumped in bed with Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) are still too raw for Carly to go that far in forgiving her ex.

But there is something to be said for Sonny kicking Nina to the curb after learning what she did to Carly, and it’s not likely that the former Mrs. Corinthos will forget how much Sonny gave up to make things right.

Still, rumor has it another formerly married pair could find their way back to one another in the midst of their grief.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Chips Away At Carly’s Hardened Heart

We knew when Sonny stopped to see Carly at work after learning Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) had died that these two were on some kind of path toward reconciliation.

The shared emotion between them after years of on-again-off-again marriages is palpable, and soon we may see the two of them lean on each other in ways that Sonny’s relationship with Nina hasn’t allowed for over the last year and a half.

Will the time and space away from Nina finally give these former lovebirds room to clear the air and rebuild trust?

GH Spoilers Tease Nina Is Toast

Sonny hasn’t sealed the deal yet by telling Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to start drafting divorce papers. Leaving us out in the cold to wonder whether he’s truly and completely done with Nina has been brutal, but we know Carly must be dying inside wondering which way he’s going to go, too.

Sure, she has Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to occupy her time, but that doesn’t mean her mind isn’t drifting off toward wondering whether things could ever work out again with Sonny now that Nina has finally proven just who she is to him.

Has she though? Rumor has it Sonny isn’t hemming and hawing over a divorce; rather, he’s been preoccupied with having been arrested and needing to deal with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). With that out of the way, he just might jump ship from his marriage sooner than we expect.

General Hospital Spoilers — Valentin Offers Comfort

While Sonny is busy entertaining himself with every glimmer of hope Carly offers him that looks like she may let him back into her heart, Nina is going to find comfort in the most unlikely of places — Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) arms.

Nina and Valentin’s romance crashed during their wedding a few years back when Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) told the truth — which revealed Valentin had betrayed Nina in the most hurtful way she could ever have imagined.

Will she find it even simpler to move beyond that pain now that she has dished out the same kind of pain to the man she loves? Will Nina’s falling out with Sonny make room for Valentin to reclaim the love he lost with her? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
