General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus’ Shocking Plan To Set Sonny Up For His Own Murder!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) seems to be taking quite a different approach to life now that he is out of prison. He had a heart attack which apparently left him too frail to cause physical harm to anyone.

He actually used that argument to get himself released from prison early. While there is no indication that the heart attack was out of the ordinary, what if Cyrus somehow managed to find a way to cause his own medical issue as part of a larger plan to get out of prison?

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Seeks The Approval Of His Sister, Mayor Laura Collins!

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) only recently discovered that she had two brothers she had never met before. Martin Grey (Michael E Knight) is the upstanding lawyer of the family although it seems as though he has a bit of history as an ambulance chaser.

It took a little while for Laura and Martin to form a relationship so late in their lives, but they found a way and get alone famously now. But Cyrus is another matter entirely.

Cyrus has been involved with the mob ever since Laura has known him, so that has colored her judgement of the man now. Although Cyrus claims he has found God, his past makes those claims dubious at best.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Is Jealous Of Sonny Corinthos!

Cyrus has a hard time understanding how Laura can hold Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) in such high esteem, since Sonny is also a career criminal.

He’s certainly jealous of the friendship Sonny and Laura have forged over the years. It’s a valid argument but it seems as though Cyrus may soon take matters into his own hands in order to make Laura see Sonny for the man he believes that Sonny truly is.

He goaded Sonny into beating him to pulp inside a church no less. If the heart attack was also deliberate somehow, that would be the second time that Cyrus has allowed himself to be gravely hurt in order to achieve his goals.

General Hospital Spoilers – Could Cyrus Renault Be Planning His Own Murder!

If that’s the case, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if his next step includes making Sonny angry enough to kill him. Sonny has already tasked Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) with killing Cyrus, so his plan may already be working.

Whether or not Dex goes through with it, chances are that Sonny won’t stop until Cyrus is dead and that may be exactly what he wants. If he dies by Sonny’s hands, he will die a martyr and Sonny and Laura’s friendship will likely end for good.

There’s another possibility that Cyrus would fake his death instead. That way he would get the same result but not actually have to die.
