The General Hospital spoilers reveal that Eden McCoy temporarily left the ABC daytime soap. The 20-year-old star plays Josslyn Jacks. According to Soap Opera News, McCoy was replaced by Courtney Fulk. Courtney made her debut as the popular character last month.

The reason for McCoy’s disappearance is that she was mourning the loss of her mother, who passed away in November. At the time, her return date was unknown. McCoy took to Instagram to share the news of her mother’s passing.

“It feels bizarre and almost performative to make a post so personal on the most impersonal space, but so many people who knew my mother and also knew me didn’t know what was going on, and this was the easiest way to let everyone know,” Eden McCoy wrote in her post.

“They also deserve to mourn and part with her in whatever way they may choose. My mother has fought an intense battle with cancer for the past 2 and a half years and has now left us physically.”

She also shared a photo of her mom standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. The Instagram carousel included a shot of a card McCoy made when she was young that read: “20 reasons why I love my mom.”

She included the emoji with a hand over its mouth. It appears that McCoy is giddy about her return to GH. The return comes weeks after her win at the Daytime Emmys. During this time, McCoy laid low and traveled to a tropical location.
