Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) mysterious call may not have been from who he thinks. He looks to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) for answers, but it may have been Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) setting a trap.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Konstantin Meleounis Knows Xander Cook Could Be A Threat

The mystery caller has to know that Xander was once a hit man-and Konstantin knows because of his past, Xander could be a real threat.

He’s already got Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) breathing down his neck, especially Steve, trying to keep him away from his meal ticket Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).

Konstantin also knows that Xander is close to Maggie, and he doesn’t like Konstantin-so it would be proactive to trap him into a hit job that could get him incarcerated-or worse.

Konstantin claims to have been a childhood friend of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) so he probably knows about Victor’s brother Titus-who was Xander’s father-of record.

Konstantin may be somewhat out of the loop, since Xander hasn’t done assassin jobs in a long time, but nonetheless a disguised voice offering one gets his attention.

All Xander said was a demand to know who was calling, and then he hung up-but Konstantin could tell his interest was piqued. He would want to know who it was offering the hit job, since it would obviously be someone who knew of his past as a hit man.

Not only is Konstantin interested in leading Xander into a trap where if he took the job he could be set up for an arrest, he could make Xander the victim.

Konstantin knows that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is naïve and controllable, whereas Xander is not-he needs Alex to stay the heir, and Xander never to find out he is!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Stefan DiMera Denies Knowledge

When Xander goes to Stefan, thinking perhaps he was the one who called, Stefan denies knowledge but he’s curious who did call. Stefan’s not just curious, he’s worried it could be a legitimate hit job request-perhaps from Clyde Weston (James Read)?

Stefan and Xander both know better than to meet this unknown caller anywhere should that request be made, not even in a public place.

Stefan’s best advice is to go to the cops about this call-even though Xander’s worried because of his record. Stefan doesn’t say out loud but he thinks it-if this came from Clyde, if the police are able to trace it, it might help his own situation!
