General Hospital Spoilers: Ned So Angry At Michael He Sues Him For Committing Fraud?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is so angry at Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for closing his deal with RCD, he might sue him for committing fraud! As he ranted to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) Michael’s no more than an ELQ shareholder, and didn’t have authority to close any deals!
General Hospital Spoilers: A Complicated Lawsuit
To say this will be a complicated lawsuit is the understatement of the century, considering Ned is trying to undo a deal Michael closed when he was Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth). No one was available or willing to do the wheeling and dealing for ELQ while Ned was Eddie and Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) his co-CEO was out of town.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was too laser-focused on putting Eddie in a mental institution and acquiring Deception Cosmetics, although she wouldn’t have been able to run ELQ either.
She would have been able to had she been able to get Ned declared incompetent because he was Eddie-but how would she even explain that? The only thing Ned can do so long after the fact is to prove Michael committed fraud in closing the deal, invalidating it so he could renegotiate under his own terms.
GH Spoilers: It’s A Matter Of Insubordination
As far as Ned is concerned, it’s a matter of insubordination, even though Michael doesn’t even work for ELQ-which is exactly the point he’s making. Michael had no right to work on the deal he was working on right before he took that header into the Metro Court Pool!
Michael, as a Quartermaine-AJ Quartermaine’s (Sean Kanan) son-simply took initiative to keep the family business going while Ned was Eddie and Valentin was absent. At least, that’s the way Michael saw it as he explained to Ned when he came blustering into the Aurora Media office.
General Hospital Spoilers: You Want To Do WHAT?!
Ned tries to file his lawsuit and the lawyer says, “You want to do WHAT?” The attorney can’t believe it that someone wants to file fraud charges for a very successful deal-a better deal than Ned started with. The deal is making tons of money for ELQ and trying to invalidate it by suing Michael for fraud is ridiculous, and the lawyer thinks it would be thrown out.
Any judge would deem that kind of lawsuit as frivolous and ego-based, not something to pursue; and besides, ELQ is a family owned company and Michael’s a Quartermaine. Lois could have told him that-from the get-go when he ranted to her, she told him it didn’t make any sense!
