Sheila has convinced herself that the mother-son bond she and Finn share overrides what she calls her past mistakes. Other people, including legitimate judges, would consider those mistakes as punishable crimes. Thankfully for Sheila, Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett) had her case and dismissed the murder she admitted to committing years ago.

Finn loves his wife and the family they created. Living at the cliff house without them has been an empty, aimless experience.
News that Steffy is coming home furthers the storyline. Readers of this comprehensive soap site also know that Wood recently returned to the cast after her maternity leave ended.
So, Finn will regain hope and the stability having his family back offers. But he will need to show Steffy that he is serious about dealing with Sheila and then produce results.
