DOOL spoilers note that EJ was close to finding out that he’s not the father of Nicole’s baby. He was about to take a look before Sloan switched the envelopes, and in the aftermath had a meeting that sent him off on his way.

Still, some fans are buzzing online that Sloan didn’t switch the envelopes and made a mistake. It appeared that way during the scene, but perhaps, show producers didn’t take notice.

Or, there’s a good possibility that they knew exactly what they were doing and that Sloan did in fact mess up, and EJ will find out the truth at a later date.

Sloan did the big switch while a doorbell distracted him, and when he got back before he could take a look at the test, he got called into a meeting. EJ placed the results into his safe for a later look at.

If Sloan failed to make the big switch, when he does take a peek, he’ll be in for the shock of his life. Depending on who’s with him, could he decide to keep things hidden?

Maybe he finds out about the big baby swap, and goes along with it, to keep Nicole’s love child with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) far away.

When DiMera learns that child isn’t his, he’ll be devastated, on so many different levels. Keeping the baby swap secret may be a way for him to guarantee keeping Nicole, but it will also ultimately jeopardize their relationship when the truth comes out.
