Widely known as a fickle industry, based on the surface nature of its product, Eric changed the standards of relevancy when building Forrester Creations with the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) into a power fashion house.

Ridge has full respect for his dad’s historical importance in the industry and as the co-founder of FC. But he feels certain that Eric no longer has the chops to be competitive.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) often used Eric’s shoulder to lean on during the many periods when she and Ridge were fighting. No one was a bigger champion of Brooke and Ridge’s self-dubbed destiny than Eric.

That makes Brooke’s recent comments in front of Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) very disappointing.

Lang’s character, whose first husband was Eric and with whom she shares a child, Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), sided with Ridge. She believes that Eric was FC, but that Ridge represents today.

Ridge is the Chief Executive Officer of FC. He, along with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), are the people Eric wanted to head the company when he chose to step back in recent years.

But something changed in Eric’s mind in recent months. Donna and RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) became the first to know that Eric has been dealing with increasing arthritis in recent months which prevents him from being able to design effectively. However, RJ’s tech-savvy became the solution to Eric’s dilemma.

Ridge is unaware of the motivation behind Eric’s desire to create one last fashion line. The CEO title allows Ridge to be more aware than Eric of fashion’s currency, but he is not up to date on his father’s motivation.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Do Not Underestimate Eric Forrester

Plenty of people learned the hard way that underestimating Eric was foolish. But despite having been trained by the master and being one of his handpicked successors, Ridge is not giving Eric his due.

RJ’s ability to develop his talent, in a similar way to Ridge, appears to give Eric the edge. But this storyline surely will not resemble a simple straight line, with predictable outcomes. No, this feels like the start of a great soap story on B&B.
