But Thomas’ plan backfired on him many times. Finally, after realizing his mistakes and committing to true amends, Hope responded to the goodness that Thomas projected.

Liam has not been focused on Hope in the weeks following their inking of divorce papers. He is fixating on Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) again.
Hope felt insecure about her marriage to Liam because of his persistent feelings for Steffy. Now, after this latest break, Liam did not fight for Hope.
Instead, he inserted himself into her plight with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and admitted to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), when asked, that he has always loved Steffy.

Thomas has always been certain that he is the better man for Hope, as compared to Liam. But now Thomas has Hope’s trust, and with that, he knows Liam will lose.
But rather than allow anything to chance, Thomas is gently pressing on. He is saying all the right lines while dealing with the awkwardness of Hope’s in-between time. Liam is still Hope’s husband, technically.
But Hope can feel destiny calling and this time his name is not Liam on B&B.
