The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) Spoilers: Could Eric Have Something Worse Than Arthritis In His Writing Hand?

The Bold And The Beautiful: Eric Forrester (John McCook)

The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and rumors tease Eric Forrester (John McCook) could have something much worse going on than just arthritis in his writing hand.

He seems to not only have the hand pain, but is flying into rages and misinterpreting things much too easily-they could be signs of a disorder called focal dystonia.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Eric Forrester Checks A Lot Of Boxes

Focal dystonia, a neurological condition that causes muscle cramps in one part of the body kind affecting your hand, wrist, or arm is common in people who frequently use fine motor skills.

It often affects artists, musicians, hairstylists, and writers, and a designer fits in perfectly, but it’s caused by miscommunication among your nerves, muscles, and brain.

Patients with dystonia are more inclined to higher rates of emotional instability along with reduced emotional control, and that sounds just like Eric.

In addition, dystonia patients suffer increased suspiciousness and frustration, low mood levels, and reduced resistance to stress, Eric seems to check all the boxes.

The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – No Cure, But Several Treatments

Although there is no cure, there are several treatments that could help Eric manage a correct diagnosis is imperative, focal dystonia being a rare disease.

It won’t be as simple a treatment as changing partners, which happened when Eric thought he had erectile dysfunction, but there is one treatment that would be easily available.

The Bold And The Beautiful: Eric Forrester (John McCook)

Botox injections in his hand would interfere with the dysfunction between his hand and his brain and allow him to use his hand, the emotional symptoms perhaps treatable by mood stabilizers.

The main issue would be convincing Eric to be checked by a neurologist and overcoming the apparently false diagnosis of arthritis in his hand-if he’s even gone to the doctor.

Could This Be The End For Eric Forrester?

Could this be the end for Eric-more than likely not, but if he doesn’t get a proper diagnosis and treatment it will only get worse.

If he’s been going to Dr. Webb, MD for his issues, self-diagnosis may have led him to think he’s got Lou Gehrig’s Disease or ALS; it’s fatal with similar symptoms.

But if he’s convinced he’s got either arthritis in his hand or something worse like ALS and doesn’t go to a doctor to get tested, the same battles will continue.

Will anyone in his battling family sit up and take notice, and urge him to go to the doctor if they do, the stubborn goat may not listen!

Perhaps Thomas Forrester, (Matthew Atkinson) who struggled for months with headaches from a brain aneurysm will be able to convince his grandfather, putting him in mind of what happened to him!
