General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) might appear to be growing closer right now, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is far from done coming between them.

Rather, Dex is far from done putting him there. Rumor has it Joss is only going to put up with this for so long.

It’s not that she’s going to go looking for trouble in all the wrong places, but when it finds her, the loneliness she feels in her relationship with Dex is going to make it hard to pass up a fresh alternative to his companionship.

Some viewers have seen this coming from a mile away. For the last few weeks, Joss and Dex aren’t spending nearly as much time together.

They still do so joyfully when they can make it happen, but their quiet nights at home — and concerts out with friends — have become few and far between as Dex’s job with Sonny has taken center stage in his life.

Joss must have been fooling herself when she thought she could get him to break ties with such a powerful position in Sonny’s organization.

Nonetheless, she was initially concerned that he was in danger, and now she’s additionally concerned that she’s never going to have time with her boyfriend again.

Perhaps it’ll get easier for Joss to ignore just how busy Dex is now that she’s getting back into the swing of things on campus.

Having the summer off was supposed to be a reprieve with time to spend with her man. Instead, she feels like much of it was stolen from them.

Moving forward, she could be a bit less bitter as she finds herself busy with classes and digging into what pre-med life is really about studying alongside future doctors who may one day be her colleagues.

Last year, we saw Joss fight every instinct in her that wanted to know all she could about Dex as he continued to crawl under her skin.

She knew better than to step out on Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton), but she didn’t want to break his heart.

At the same time, her own was shattered because she had fallen out of love with him, and she was eager to climb on top of someone else — Dex!

This time around, rumor has it she’s about to meet a fellow pre-med student who will remind her of what it’s like to have a partner who is available — and not working for the mob.

As her future starts to be more focused on saving lives and Dex continues to risk his, will she forget to tell Dex she’s done with him before she goes all in with this guy, too?
