General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that fans should expect the unexpected in the land of Port Charles. Once bitter exes, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) have finally landed on the same page, all thanks to how they feel about Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Ace’s biological father Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is about to “return” and he’s likely going to want sole custody of the child.

GH spoilers for the week of September 11th hint that Nikolas is about to re-enter Port Charles. Not only do teasers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will be upset at Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), likely because she’ll learn Nik is alive and he knew; on Friday, September 15th, Nikolas will have a chat with his Auntie Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

While the only person who thought Nikolas was dead was Ava, and technically Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), everyone will still be shocked to see him.

After all, his poor mother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has been traveling all over the world, along with hubby Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) looking for him.

Still, when he officially “comes back”, he’ll be looking to make up for lost time, which means gaining full custody of Ace, as he initially planned.

General Hospital Updates – Esme Prince & Spencer Cassadine Will Be Desperate To Present A Cohesive Family Unit

Spencer and Esme have been working overtime to juggle their lives and take care of Ace the best they can.

They’ve taken parenting classes and placed their differences aside for the little guy. Spence has stepped up for his baby brother, and while Esme can be called a lot of things, she also happens to be a good mother to her son.

Before Ace was born, Spencer wanted to banish Esme to prison and take sole custody of the baby. Now that he sees his brother needs his mother, he’s not so adamant about the idea.

Spencer’s goal to gain custody of Ace was to ensure that his brother didn’t grow up the way he did; a second thought for Nikolas.

With Esme single, there’s a chance that his rich and powerful dad could gain custody. Still, if Esme and Spence get married, and prove to the court that they’ve been wonderful “parents” to Ace from the start, they’d have a fighting chance.
