Cody believes that Sasha is being used by her mother-in-law Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Sasha has had legal troubles in the past. Cody knows that Sasha needed Gladys to become her guardian to take care of her legal and financial matters. Cody is aware that Gladys has gotten involved with Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) illegal poker games at The Savoy. Gladys needs to use Sasha’s money to help her to pay off her gambling debts. Sasha believed that she was ready to take back control of her legal and financial affairs. Gladys did not want Sasha to be able to take over her legal and financial matters because she would not be able to use Sasha’s money. Gladys decided to conspire with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) to help her to discredit Sasha. Dr. Montague gave Sasha a drug that caused her to hallucinate. Sasha believed that Cody was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Sasha believed that Cyrus was trying to hurt Gladys and ended up stabbing Cody. Sasha was arrested for assaulting Cody and sent to Ferncliff. Cody believes that Gladys is responsible for Sasha’s breakdown. Cody is determined to find a way to get Sasha the help that she needs.

Cody may be able to get Brook Lynn to help him with his efforts to get to Sasha. Cody knows that Brook Lynn and Sasha work together at Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) company Deception. Brook Lynn cares about Sasha because Sasha has helped her family in the past. Brook Lynn knows that Sasha has been trying to find a way to overcome losing her husband Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and her son Liam Corbin (uncast character). Brook Lynn has told Cody that she believes that Sasha has had a breakdown. Cody will need to convince Brook Lynn that Sasha is in trouble and needs help.
