In the movie, Lucy Collins is a screenwriter who ends up taking her dream job. She was hired to rewrite one of her favorite Christmas movies. This movie was filmed in the Biltmore House and Lucy has always been drawn to the movie and the Biltmore. She travels there to do some research for the job and learn the history of the estate.

While at the Biltmore, Lucy just can’t stop thinking about an hourglass that she sees. She ends up knocking it over and it acts as a time machine. She is transported back to 1946. This is where she meets Jack Huston. They connect almost instantly and by doing so, the future is now in jeopardy. What will she do? Will she stay in 1946 with the man of her dreams or will she have to go back to 2023? We will find out when the Christmas in July magic is shared on the Hallmark Channel.
