The Young And The Restless’ Susan Walters Is Married To This ‘New’ Co-Star
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal a newcomer in town who is not really new to the soap after all — and not new at all to one particular co-star.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Two Connected GC Stars
Susan Walters made her way back to Y&R after 20 years, playing the not-so-dead Diane Jenkins last year. Maura West (now Ava, General Hospital) played the role for a short time years after Walters left, and she was the one playing Diane when the character alienated everyone in GC and faked her own death.
Since returning, Walters has sought to erase the West time of Diane’s history and Diane has redeemed herself in the eyes of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). She is now currently engaged to Jack, Kyle’s father.
Linden Ashby has also been away from the GC scene for decades, with his character Cameron Kirsten lingering in jail after terrorizing Sharon Collins (Sharon Case) years ago. Now, Sharon has a new stalker and from the gifts he is sending, it seems clear to her that Cameron is behind them.
However, very few newer fans would know of the connection between Ashby and Walters.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Married For Almost Four Decades
Linden Ashby and Susan Walters met way back in 1983 on the old ABC soap Lioving where he played Alden and she played Lordan Alden. In fact, Walters had some sweet things to say in April when the pair celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.
“37 years (and a day) of dogs and daughters, horses and houses, friends and family, ups and downs… and love. Happy Anniversary to the one I’m so lucky to be living my life with,” Walters wrote on Instagram.
The two stars have raised two adult daughters together and are now grandparents after a lifetime of love that started on Loving. Whether they will cross paths on-screen now that Cameron is back in town and Diane is out of jail and a free woman remains to be seen, but Cameron is set to reign his terror on most of the town and not just poor Sharon and her family. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see if Josslyn can accept having a normal life.
