Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Chad Takes Off His Wedding Ring

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal Chad finally deciding to truly move on with his life by taking a major step. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) has spent the last year trying to get over the loss of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and move on. While he seems to, he has to do one more thing to make it official.

It’s been a full year since Chad found a stabbed and bloodied Abigail in their bedroom after taking their kids to the movies and he managed to make her killer, Clyde Weston (James Read) pay for killing her. He even is in a new relationship with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and his kids love her, but Abigail will always be on his mind and in his heart, especially on the first anniversary of her death.

That is when Chad goes to visit her grave and talk to his beloved late wife about his feelings, how much he still misses her, and also how good it feels to be with Stephanie. That doesn’t mean he is not feeling guilty.

“Chad is at a place where he’s obviously moved on with Stephanie and still feels guilty,” Billy Flynn said in the June 19, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Also, this shadow of Abigail is never gone.”

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Chad DiMera Makes A Major Move

Chad is not the only one who visits Abigail’s grave this week. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) also goes to see her late cousin and finds Chad there.

“Julie gives him some reassurance, which helps to go, ‘What’s going to be best for you and the kids,'” Flynn said in Digest. “He’s the father of two and he’s met somebody who’s kind and compassionate and treats his kids that way too after he’s been through such a traumatic event…Then Julie shows up and kind of reaffirms that he has to live his life. Abigail’s gone.”

To that end, Chad decides it’s time to finally remove his wedding ring, a big step for anyone who lost a spouse to death.
