General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: T.J. Can’t Cope With Molly’s Diagnosis — And Turns To Someone Else For Comfort

General Hospital (GH) spoilers say Molly Lansing Davis (Holiday Mia Kriegel) might be feeling like she has failed T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow), but he will be unrelenting in assuring her that she hasn’t. That being said, T.J. hasn’t taken much time to actually evaluate how he feels. Is he just saying she hasn’t let him down because it’s the right thing to say? T.J. might not blame Molly for her diagnosis or the fact that they won’t be able to have kids in the traditional way together, but that doesn’t mean he’s not grieving, hurt, and disappointed. He can’t share that with her though, so he might take to sharing it with someone else soon. Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) isn’t going to fit this bill, though. While Molly is digging into work as a means of avoiding their new reality, T.J. will be avoiding it in his own way by growing closer to someone else.

Molly’s inability to confront her emotions and deal with them is going to take a toll on her relationship with T.J. and their dreams of becoming parents. She has rapidly picked up a habit of avoiding uncomfortable conversations and distracting herself with work, making it harder for them to overcome any challenges they face in their journey towards fertility. Right now, Molly just can’t see past her own pain, and she barely recognizes that T.J. is feeling any. If Molly continues to prioritize work over her relationship with T.J., it could spell trouble for their future as a couple — let alone a family.

General Hospital Updates – Molly Lansing Davis’ Pulling Back Pushes T.J. Ashford Away

While Molly is finding ways to distract herself from their problems, T.J. is left to sort through his own emotions. His Aunt Stella might have been a rock to lean on for a few minutes, but T.J. needs something more consistent to get through this. How is he supposed to hang on and wait for Molly to come around to the idea of exploring their options when it seems like she’s never going to? The further that she pulls away from him, the more T.J. is going to feel like his efforts to support her and wait for her are fruitless and a waste of his time. Ideally, he could just bury himself in work, too, but support is going to fall into his lap in a way he never expected, and he won’t see it coming before it turns into something he never intended.

T.J. Ashford Has An Affair

Molly and T.J.’s happy relationship has the potential to be torn apart when he steps out on their relationship. Right now, he’s still in this with Molly, but the more that she sidesteps his questions and attempts to get close to her, the more he’s going to feel like he doesn’t even have a partner anymore. Affairs have a way of worming into a couple’s life when they aren’t spending time together and are avoiding their problems.

This couple is slated to be doing both of those for some time. T.J. doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who gets caught up in anything irrational like an affair, but neither did his mother once upon a time. Likewise, a full-blown affair may not stem from his pain and loneliness so much as a one-night stand or even an emotional affair could.
