However, they have been great co-parents which are good for their son. Abby often has sleepovers at Devon’s as well.

Now that Abby and Devon are parents, perhaps they can work out a way to make this relationship work. They are both older and more mature. Both Abby and Devon have had failed relationships so they should know what not to do by now. Can these two actually make it work if they concentrate on their relationship and not let outside forces interfere?

Both Abby and Devon are too used to having things handed to them. Neither of these two has really had to work at anything to get what they want. If Devon and Abby want this relationship to grow and mature, they are going to have to put forth a little effort. No relationship worth having just grows on its own.

Abby and Devon need to grow up. Both Abby and Devon have had things handed to them their entire lives and now that they have connected, they seem to be just riding it out to see where it goes. These two have a child together. Should they not be making plans for the future if they are going to play house?

A Relationship Takes Effort

Abby certainly didn’t break a sweat when it came to saving her marriage. Abby and Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) had issues. Instead of working on the relationship, Abby got tired of trying and just walked away. Of course, Abby slept with Devon before walking away but that doesn’t say a lot about her interest in the marriage.

Devon and Amanda tried to do that long-distance thing but didn’t really put a lot of effort into visiting Amanda or trying to keep their relationship alive either. Devon and Abby need to realize that a relationship isn’t something handed to you with a silver spoon. These two are going to have to put in some time and some effort if they want to make a family for their child. Is either of them ready to do that?
